FINDING ALIGNMENT
From time to time I find myself feeling the pressure of always needing to be more, do more, succeed more, create more, transform more, evolve more, earn more... And, on top of that, do it all quickly and perfectly, right now. Not in ten years, now. Sound familiar?
The thing is, we will all evolve and transform, succeed and fail, create and be when we are living our life aligned with Dharma (our purpose and eternal law) and nature.
What brings us out of alignment?
For me it’s when I allow my mind to sit in judgement, comparison and expectation. Indulging in what someone else expects of me, dulling my intuition and not speaking my truth. Other things that take me out of alignment are eating poor quality food, not tending to my body, my heart and mind.
A good indication that I am out of soul alignment is that I start to doubt and question myself. I start to feel the pressure from the part of myself that expects more of me and thinks I should do and be more. When I forget to remind myself of my why that’s when I feel the pressure and my mind wanders to a different life.
When I’m out of alignment, my compass no longer points in the direction of my true north instead, it’s starts to find someone else’s true north in an attempt to be guided home again when really, it only guides me further off my path…
When we look outside ourselves to go home, we are easily distracted by someone else's vision or purpose. You know those moments when you look to someone else and think, ‘shit should I be doing what they’re doing?’ ‘She looks like she’s got it all figured out.’ ‘She is so successful…’
If you do this long enough, you’ll soon realise you have gone and created a life doing what you thought you should do based on someone else's appearance of success.
