Why Your Wellbeing Is Rooted In Your Rhythmic Connection To Nature

By learning to live within the rhythms of nature, we become deeply connected to who we are and who we have always been. 

At our core we are the essence of life itself, the essence of Mother Nature. If you desire to live a life in alignment you must start with connection to Her. She is part of us, and us, a part of She. She awakens our souls desire. 

If you feel like you are out of alignment with yourself, and with mama earth, you’re not alone, and it’s not your fault. Yes, you have certainly chosen certain lifestyle habits and made choices that took you out of that sacred alignment. However, some of these daily rituals you have been living were created for you based on the values of success, doing more, being more, earning more and achieving more. Oh, and don’t forget being the busiest person in the room.... *insert emoji with palm to head* 

This lifestyle absolutely goes against the innate daily rhythms encoded into mother nature and encoded in us. Living a linear life means there is no time to breathe, to reflect, to sit, to create, to connect. There’s no space and energy to heal and come back to self. This societal norm of ‘if you’re busy and stressed you’re successful’ makes sure there is no time left over for us to devote ourselves to Dharma. Being busy is not a bad thing. But being busy doing things that aren’t in alignment with your Dharma is, well, not great. And, what’s the point? 

We can get away with living a life out of alignment with nature for so long... but there comes a time when your soul will send you signals encouraging you to come back to alignment, to come back to yourself. If you’re here, I’m sure you’ve already sensed those signs and felt the desire for more. 

We are truly incredible beings. Our body is ALWAYS seeking to come back to balance and heal. We are extremely resilient. No bad habit or ritual is set in stone. 

DAILY RITUALS FOR YOUR WELLBEING

Ayurvedic knowledge teaches us the wisdom of cyclical nature. The best way to connect to nature’s rhythm is by honoring your own daily rhythm through daily ritual. Here are some beautiful ways I choose to cultivate alignment daily - 

  • Wake with the sun 

  • Go to bed at the same time every evening

  • Eat at the same time every day. Your body will be ready for digestion when you create this daily rhythm. 

  • Eat my biggest meal at lunch. The sun is the highest in the sky at midday (fire element) which means our inner fire/sun element is the strongest at this time. Fire is the element of digestion. We have the strongest digestion, Agni, when the sun is the highest in the sky. 

  • Light incense everyday 

  • Embody change

  • Have time devoted to Dharma

Inward Journey

Daily rituals look different for everyone. Use the knowledge of mother nature and your individual nature to curate your own daily rhythm.

What’s most important is that your daily ritual works for you and makes you feel abundant. AND that it aligns you with your Dharma.
